Haori and Hakama by Paz-Enai Haori and Hakama by Paz-Enai
This is a Haori and Hakama I made for a cosplay a while ago.. The only reason I put it up here is because it was mostly improved. The Hakama pattern was off the internets and required MATHS, and the Haori was greatly changed from the pattern design (ex: no lining). As a result I learnt it so well that about 3 other people saught me out to teach them how to make them -_-;;.

And yeah, it was a Bleach cosplay. (And all of us had to dye our hair black...)

ermm.. I think it was just like... a McCalls pattern for the haori.. The Hakama was off a random internet site.. it had no printed pattern, just a lot of measuring... But the haori was from a Mccalls kimono pattern set.

I think that's how it's spelt, it's a pattern-making company, sold at like.. Joannes craft stores, and places like that.

For the haori, yep~! I mean I modded it a bit, cause I had a super tight time constraint, but the pattern was really easy.

Could you possibly give me the link to the hakama pattern? I'm cosplaying BLEACH, too, and already have the kimono pattern. All I need is the hakama! :D

Did you use the haori as the actual kimono top? Some people have suggested I use the haori instead of making a shorter kimono. Also, did you make a seperate white under-kimono?

Sorry for the load of questions. It's my first cosplay ever, and I want to do it right! :D

In all honesty, the Hakama pattern I found online... it was a rather lot of math, but if you take your time it works pretty well. And yes, I did use a haori as the top, but I just wore a black tank under it (as I was a more minor character and didn't have any fancies...) instead I used ribbon and attached it to where the white would have shown out. It saves a little money if you can find some cheap ribbon.

Unfortunately, I can't recall where I got it from... Sorry.

That's okay. I've actually found a hakama pattern. :D

Good luck on future cosplays! :B
